How much does it cost?
The first appointment costs £35. Any follow-up appointments cost £30. See below for duration.
How long are the treatment sessions?
The first appointment lasts for an hour. During this time, a confidential medical and personal history is taken.
Follow-up sessions are booked in for 40 minutes.
Do Amatsu techniques cause any pain?
Amatsu is a gentle healing art, and almost all of the techniques are pain-free. Sometimes accupressure points are stimulated to release tension throughout the body, and these points may be tender.
How many treatments or sessions will I require?
This question depends on many factors:
- The nature of the ailment or injury.
- How long you have had the problem - a recent injury will often respond to treatment much better than one which you have put up with for years and which you now want to be treated.
- Your lifestyle:
- diet
- exercise
- rest
- stress
- general well-being
Once your body maintains the correct pattern from the previous session and all your muscle tests are strong, then there is no need for further intervention. Treatments for maintenance may be advisable, depending on your lifestyle.
What is the Optimum Balance logo?
The Optimum Balance logo is Leonardo Da Vinci's famous Vitruvian Man, drawn in 1490. It shows a human male in two superimposed postures with his arms and legs in different positions, while simultaneously being contained within a circle and a square.
The idea for the drawing came from the much earlier works of a Roman architect named Vitruvius who attempted to describe the proportions of the ideal human body.
By implication, the logo conveys the idea of a healthy, balanced body.
